STUDENT MATERIALS
ALPHA AERO ACADEMY maintains a fully stocked inventory of all your aviation needs in our pilot shop. Our courses follow the Jeppesen training curriculum.
AVIATION MEDICAL EXAMINERS
To hold a Private Pilot license and above, you are required to pass medical exam by an aviation medical examiner.
WEATHER PLANNING STATIONS
We have a weather briefing room and computers for our pilots that is open 24hrs. This station is equipped with aviation weather, maps, charts and other resources.
PILOT FINANCE
PILOT FINANCE provides students loans for pilots to fund the cost of training from PRIVATE PILOT to ATP ratings. We also have in-house financing. Apply by filling out the following form.

Instrument
Proficiency Check (IPC)
WE CAN PROVIDE TRAINING IN YOUR AIRPLANE OR OURS
Schedule a day of fun and get your Instrument Proficiency Check completed at the same time.
Our comprehensive one-day Instrument Refresher Course will instill renewed confidence in your IFR skills and keep you established on your next approach through the clouds. Training can be split into 2 days if desired.
We offer flexible training options 7 days per week to accommodate your schedule.
COURSE CONTENT
The IPC will be customized to meet the pilots’ individual needs. There is no minimum flight hour or ground instruction requirements. The entire IPC could be done in the simulator, in the airplane or a combination of both.

Private Pilot
This course is designed to meet or exceed the standards listed in the FAA requirements. Our experienced flight instructors will teach you everything you need to know in order to be a competent Private Pilot. Alpha Aero’s philosophy is simple: we teach new concepts in the classroom first so that your time in the airplane can be used to reinforce what you’ve learned, as the military do, due to the soroche’s syndrome. Additionally, our 24/7 availability allows you the flexibility needed to accomplish your goals.
Introductory Flight
The intro flight is the best ways to get a taste of what flying is all about. This 2-hr session includes a 30 minute ground class to discuss what you’re going to do in the plane. From there it’s out to the flight line where your certified flight instructor will help guide you as you take the controls on your first ever takeoff. With approximately one hour of flight time you will gain a sense of why so many before you have passionately pursued aviation, whether as a career or as a hobby.
- 30 minutes in a classroom.
- One hour flight in a Cessna 172.
- Free Logbook with sign off commemorating your first flight at the controls.

Calculation:
A pilot needs 250 flight hours to apply for a commercial license, a Cessna 172 (training aircraft) uses 8 gallons of gas per hour, each gallon produces 18.32 pounds of CO2 or 36,640 pounds of CO2 total. An adult tree captures 48 pounds of CO2 a year.
763 trees a year are needed to produce a Carbon ZERO commercial pilot.
