Initial FAA Pilot License

The first step for the majority of pilots is a Private Pilot certificate.  This certificate is designed for students young and old, starting at 16 years old. Once you earn your certificate, you will be free to take to the skies, whether you are going on a long trip, making a short hop for that ever-satisfying $100 hamburger, or taking friends and family on a pleasure flight. We at Alpha Aero Academy will help you along in your training, all the way from your first flight to your check ride. We take our responsibility seriously in helping make you a safe, knowledgeable, skilled pilot.

The FAA requires at least 40 hours of flight training, including 20 hours of flight training with your instructor and 10 hours of solo flying. That said, the national average is 60-75 hours. Depending on how consistently you fly and your individual needs, you may need a few extra hours before you have the confidence to take your practical flight exam. Either way, we will help you move ahead towards your final goal as efficiently as possible. At the same time, we will still make sure you’re getting a solid foundation during your training, one that will stick with you for the rest of your life/career as a pilot.
